30 Years Service Certificate

This certificate was presented to Gurpal Virdi upon his retirement from the Metropolitan Police on the 9th of May 2012 by the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.

Apology from Police Commissioner

This apology was sent to Gurpal Virdi February of 2002 from Sir John Stevens, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, for his arrest, suspension, and dismissal from the Metropolitan Police, as well as the search of his home. It reiterates that the Metropolitan Police Service accepts the decision of the independent employment tribunal in August 2000 that Mr Virdi was not responsible for disseminating racist material and that he was the victim of race discrimination in the way the matter was investigated.

Commendation from Assistant Commissioner

This certificate was presented to Gurpal Virdi on the 20th of February 2002 in recognition of his outstanding professionalism and dedication to duty in relation to a case dealt with in 1998.

Commendation from Chief Superintendent

This certificate was presented to Gurpal Virdi on the 6th of June 2002 by the Chief Superintendent of the Metropolitan Police in recognition of Mr Virdi's courage and devotion to duty in disarming a youth armed with a handgun.
